Interpol The Band

Interpol is a indie rock band, formed in 1997 in New York City, United States. One thing you should know about Interpol is that their live shows are a like it or hate it thing.
The quartet consists of vocalist and guitarist Paul Banks, bassist Carlos Dengler, guitarist Daniel Kessler, and drummer Sam Fogarino. The band lurked in the shadows of the New York music scene for four years before releasing an album, most listeners didn't discover Interpol until the August release of its first full-length, Turn On the Bright Lights.
In April 2002, Interpol signed with one of the largest indie labels, Matador Records, and shortly thereafter began work on their first album.
Since the release of Bright Lights, Interpol has been touring nearly nonstop, playing everywhere from the biggest clubs in some cities to underground gems in others.
It wasn't too long ago that most of the attention Interpol attracted was accidental. More than once being confused with the international crime fighting organization!
They once played under the name, Cuddleworthy, and considered using Las Armas or The French Letters.
